# AI for Impact Collective

> A collective of purpose-driven AI professionals helping nonprofits and social enterprises put AI to work, responsibly. Our core offering is a 1:1 AI Mentorship Programme: a volunteer senior AI professional works with one nonprofit or social enterprise for 12 weeks.

The collective is based in the Netherlands and works in English and Dutch. Mentors volunteer their time; the fee covers coordination, programme support and the cohort’s peer-learning sessions.

- Programme: 1:1 AI mentorship, 12 weeks, about 1 hour per week per organisation
- Price: EUR 499 per month for nonprofits and social enterprises, covering matching, coordination, programme support and the peer-learning sessions that bring the cohort’s mentors together. Mentors are unpaid volunteers.

## Research: what 8 nonprofits and social enterprises taught us about AI adoption

Findings from cohort 1, tallied 2026-07-04 from intake surveys, mentor briefings and session notes across 8 organisations, plus an employee survey (n=31). A small sample: a promising signal, not proof.

- 8 of 8 organisations name privacy as a top concern.
- 5 of 8 lose hours every week to manual data entry and duplicate systems.
- The number one confidence builder for employees is "knowing how my data is handled".
- Friction themes, counted out of 8 organisations: manual data entry & duplicate systems (5), repetitive writing at scale (4), screening, triage & intake (4), literature & research synthesis (4), knowledge management & findability (3), reuse-with-variation (same content, many formats) (3), meeting transcription & synthesis (3), translation (3).
- Lessons: AI gets you to 90 percent, the last 10 percent is still handwork. The blocker is rarely the technology. Trust starts with data, not features. Small and boring beats ambitious and abandoned.
